Raisbeck increases C90/C90GT Gross Weight with its EPIC™ Performance System to 10,500 pounds

The Gross Weight Increase (GWI) is now available for installation on Beechcraft C90 series aircraft, serial number LJ-527 and subsequent, including the latest C90GT. The aircraft’s zero fuel weight is also increased to 9,000 pounds, removing any operational loading restrictions.

Current operators of Raisbeck EPIC-equipped C90s will receive this upgrade at no cost.

The heavier Max Takeoff Gross Weight is viewed as a necessity for C90A/C90B operators, who currently have a MTOW of 10,100 lbs, and even more so for the earlier C90 fleet (LJ-527 through LJ-1137), who are restricted to 9,650 lbs MTOW. Additionally, as part of the EPIC Performance System, these earlier C90s have engine Maxx ITT up to C90A/B limits, adding horsepower at altitude for climb and cruise benefits.
The 400 to 850 pound GWI (depending on model of C90) allows operators to increase operational flexibility by flying with full fuel and extra payload out of more airports to higher cruise altitudes. Also, opting for Raisbeck’s Crown Wing Lockers allows operators to store additional baggage and gear outside the cabin and still have useful load.

Integral to the Raisbeck C90 EPIC are the 93’’ Raisbeck/Hartzell Quiet Turbofan Propellers, which meet EASA and worldwide noise certification, accommodating the growing international demand for Raisbeck Performance Systems. These renowned Turbofan Propellers provide the thrust to give the EPIC-equipped C90 series its outstanding FAA-certified short field performance and greater range through higher initial cruise altitudes. They also give the passengers and crew unparalleled quietness with their 1750 RPM cruise setting.

The final components that comprise the C90 EPIC Performance System are the Raisbeck Dual Aft Body Strakes (DABS), which reduce drag and offer the C90 more stability and passenger comfort. Raisbeck’s DABS are factory-standard on the Hawker Beechcraft 350 production line.  In keeping with its tradition, Raisbeck Engineering continues to support owners who already have a Raisbeck EPIC-equipped C90, offering this GWI at no cost.

Our previous Gross Weight Increase to 10,350 pounds increased the aircraft’s productivity, and the 10,500 pound increase allows for an even greater amount operational flexibility, said Sam L. Jantzen Jr., Raisbeck’s Chief Operating Officer. “Serving our long-standing customer base continues to be a top priority here at Raisbeck Engineering.”

Raisbeck Engineering was founded in 1973 and continues to be dedicated to improving the productivity, safety and performance of business and commercial jet-powered aircraft. More company information and can be found at www.raisbeck.com.
