Much has been said and debated by pilots,
operators, flying schools and maintenance
facilities on composite structures - some
for and some against this innovation that is
redefining the way that aircraft are designed
and constructed.
Only one Mooney twin was ever built and
flown. In 1958 Al Mooney designed the
Mark 22 Twin, which looked like a Piper
Apache but had the trademark Mooney
vertical fin. The design never entered
production.
