NAC announces their appointment as exclusive agent for Kodiak in Africa

National Airways Corporation (NAC) is delighted to announce their appointment as exclusive African sales representative for the turboprop-powered Quest Kodiak.

The Kodiak's rugged aluminum construction, based on a high wing platform, combines superior STOL performance and high useful load, which is uniquely suited to the African environment. It offers proven turbine reliability with the Pratt & Whitney PT6 turbine engine, is capable of working off floats without structural upgrades and has the ability to land on unimproved surfaces. The Kodiak can take off in under 1,000 feet at full gross takeoff weight of 7,255 lbs and climb at over 1,300 feet per minute. A 3-panel Garmin G1000 integrated avionics suite including Synthetic Vision Technology is standard equipment on the Kodiak. The Kodiak’s high base level of equipment may be augmented with numerous value enhancing options, such as external baggage and storage.

Quest president and CEO, Paul Schaller, says the agreement with NAC is part of the company’s overall growth strategy. “We’ve recently appointed representatives in North America, so covering the rest of the world is the next big step. Having strong sales representation through NAC in Africa, is an important part of our plan.”

“Africa has a vast landscape with raw and elusive terrain: rugged mountains, shrouded shorelines, and deep forests. Here, where pavement ends, are the places we fly and fish, the places we call home. This is the terrain we had in mind when we gladly accepted the Kodiak partnership,” says NAC’s Executive Director Aircraft Sales, JP Fourie, “It’s really a great airplane, and we’re excited to play a role in helping it become an overwhelming international success.”

Commenting on the announcement, strategy director for Imperial Holdings, Tak Hiemstra, said: “NAC’s appointment as exclusive African sales representative for the Quest Kodiak is a clear indication of the company’s high standing and capability within the aviation industry. As a 62% owner of the company, Imperial Holdings Imperial Holdings is fully supportive of NAC’s strategy and proud to be associated with this professional aviation company, which offers a range of the best new and used products in the industry.”
