JP Fourie
Executive Director: Aircraft Sales
Accepting the position of Executive Director: Aircraft Sales upon the retirement of the legendary Nigel Forrester has left big shoes to fill!
This role has fallen to JP Fourie who comes with 15 years of experience in the aviation industry. His personal and corporate experience ranges across international aircraft financing, sales, ownership and management, financial planning, investment, risk and brokerage as well as FMCG. Being a licensed Diamantaire he has formed extensive business relationships across Africa. His involvement with these diverse activities has been at executive level and, true to his Capricorn nature, he relishes the challenges these bring.
An outdoorsman with a keen interest in nature, diving, motorcycling and breeding exotic parrots, he will be in charge of the sales team management and activities, inclusive of the HBC, Diamond, Tecnam, PAL and Daher Socata manufacturer relationships with NAC.
He holds provincial colours in cricket, rugby and athletics and was a Student Council Representative at University. Educated at RAU (JHB), and the UCT (GSB) with a stint at Ashridge (UK) on an exchange agreement he holds several postgraduate qualifications in executive leadership, business administration, real estate, management as well as financial planning.
His proudest achievement is his daughter Jinél and he shares his rustic lifestyle with three Great Danes called Zirk, Zaza and Damaris.
Ross Hollingworth
Executive Director: Operations & Group Legal Advisor
Following on from Attie Niemann's appointment as CEO for 43 Air School, Ross has take over his responsibilities as Executive Director: Operations.
Ross Hollingworth's responsibilities include the management of NAC's International Operation division, Fixed Wing Charter, Helicopter Charter division, Helicopter Training School at Rand Airport as well as the Helicopter Operations in Cape Town. He also fulfils the Group Legal role.
Ross is a lawyer by profession and has a BComm LLB majoring in Law and Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand as well as a Bachelors Degree in Business Economics from the State University of New York.
Ross practiced in mergers and acquisitions for a period of two years at Webber Wentzel Bowens in Johannesburg and, whilst working as an attorney at WWB, completed his Commercial Pilots license in 2006 and joined NAC in a legal capacity that same year.
After 16 months at NAC in a legal capacity Ross was given the responsibility of taking over the management role within the International Operations division in October 2007.
Ross is a keen sportsman and won a soccer scholarship whilst at the University of New York. He participates in triathlons and also plays water polo for the Northern Vikings. Ross is married to Sharon and they are eagerly awaiting the birth of their first child in the middle of the year.
Philip du Preez
Fixed Wing Charter Manager
Philip joined NAC in July 2008 as an Aircraft Sales Representative. In April 2009 he accepted the challenge and moved to Fixed Wing Maintenance as Client Service Advisor for NAC's Jet aircraft owners, gaining valuable technical experience in the process. With his business and marketing background, as well as his understanding of NAC and aviation, when the opportunity presented itself to take over the Fixed Wing Charter division as divisional manager Philip jumped to it! Since December 2009, he now heads up the Fixed Wing Charter division with his team of dedicated professionals.
Philip has worked in advertising, marketing and event management of which most notable was the Miss World pageant, the Million Dollar Golf Tournament, Fashion TV and Disney Road shows, to name but a few.
Apart from holding a PPL, he is happily married to Sonelia and has a 12 year old son that shares his passion for both flying and motoring. Philip is also an accredited freelance motoring journalist and serves on the SA Guild of Motoring Journalists' steering committee. He looks forward to his future with NAC and believes that aviation will continue to play a significant role on the African continent.
