As the only factory-approved Rolls-Royce overhaul facility in Africa, NAC's customer service centre at Rand Airport undertakes all maintenance and repairs to Bell, Robinson and other makes of helicopters. The South African Civil Aviation Authority has approved NAC's workshops where helicopters also from a number of African countries are maintained.

Bell 407 Helicopter Maintenance & Rolls Royce Service Centre
  1. NAC’s Helicopter Maintenance Division is based at Rand Airport, Germiston and has a total staff complement of 56, which includes 25 qualified maintenance engineers of which 12 hold aircraft maintenance licences and 5 who hold the model 407 license.
  2. Our SACAA approved helicopter maintenance facility at Rand Airport offers complete, factory authorized maintenance and overhaul services for Bell and Robinson helicopters. NAC similarly operates the only factory approved Model 250 Rolls Royce Engine Series repair and overhaul facility on the African continent, providing our clients with the full array of helicopter maintenance and overhaul services, from tip to tail.
  3. NAC remains the only manufacturer approved workshop for both Bell Helicopters and Rolls Royce model 250 engines, on the African continent, and therefore has the capabilities, facilities, tooling and equipment to maintain and overhaul the Bell helicopter models including 206, 206L,407, 222,230,430 and 412, most of their components as well as the installed Rolls Royce engine.
  4. NAC is regularly audited by airframe and engine manufacturers for compliance with quality standards and contractual specifications including stock holding and factory training.
